2.0 poor | cjbizzlebizzle | November 28th 16 | Watsky raps really fast and impressively and even has some good beats and production. So what is the problem? After one listen, there is really no reason to go back and listen again. The album just doesn't have any soul when all is said and done and at a beastly 78 minutes that makes for a tough album to get through. The obvious Eminem influence is almost too much to handle and Watsky's inflection at times just sounds arrogant. Where Eminem often yells and acts silly it actually worked, when Watsky does it is just hard to swallow. And that leads right into Going Down. On an album with a seemingly overall concept, what is this track even doing here? It is hard why it works for some rappers to get off with overly sexual odes but Going Down might be one of the worst. A very skilled wordsmith that the end of the day just doesn't really seem like he has that much meaningful to say. Maybe there is something to find deep down but after a few listens it is hard to justify looking deeper into x Infinity.

0.0 | Nathaniel | October 25th 16 | A suprisingly consistent and mature release from the tongue twister of Watsky. Save for going down, an awful ode to fellatio and sexual discovery, the rest of the album is actually pretty good.

0.0 | Finn Baker | October 23rd 16 | Watsky, to my surprise, shows off a lot of maturity on this album. There's so much detail shoved into most of the songs on this album, which makes some of them genuinely, unironically, enjoyable. Midnight Heart, Brave New World, and even Don't Be Nice are some of the songs that stand out here. The last four, not including the bonus track, can even get dark. They deal with contemplating death, missing your youth, and what the hell comes next in your life.rGoing Down sucks, though. It's just...so bad. Please skip it if you listen to this.

3.5 great | Mutantsnowstorm | August 23rd 16 | There's certainly some more musical maturity on this album, even more so than when All You Can Do was released. There's plenty of highlights to be found, and the last 4 or 5 tracks tend to blend together in a very good way that leaves you with a memorable ending. however, there's still plenty of corniness (such as Going Down) that will either make you groan or chuckle, depending on who you are.
