Definitely the heaviest band of all time. they are also my favourite Grind Core band.

Basically this means Heaven was immediately deemed as a realm dominated by males? Anaal Nathrakh just told us all about the women being the superior forces of insanity, and as a guy, I'm more than alright with that.

The cleans are generally awful as always but thankfully they're not used prominently in every song. Lots of varied riffing and songwriting styles, flowing though black metal and death metal seamlessly into hardcore-inspired rhythms. It sort of reminds me of Sathanas-era Mayhem mixed with the intensity of Darkspace.

This is pretty classic Anaal Nathrakh; mechanized blast beats, wonderfully grotesque vocals,
catchy and melodic guitar work, misanthropy, etc. Unfortunately all of those aforementioned
qualities are not quite at their best here, because they kicked their own asses artistically
on the following album "In the Constellation of the Black Widow". On "In The
Constellation...", the screams are even more grotesque, the often out-of-place clean vocals
are toned down a notch, the melodies are more original and wicked sounding, there is a lot
more variety, and the songs ebb and flow with more restraint and structure. Hell is Empty...
is still worth a listen though, and I recommend the last two tracks on it especially.

i might have found a new favorite band, and i can't even pronounce it. it's kinda deathly black stuff, for me who prefers death. (EDIT: ironic that I now prefer black by a fair margin) so this is a good midpoint. evil.
