Entrance Grounds is album of exploration; it's themes of new beginnings, discovery, and self-analysation are incredibly visual, emotional, and existential.

When the album starts I am taken to this world of black white. I am walking through a deserted town at dusk, soaking up visual information of what may have happened. As I keep walking, a building on the hillside starts to come into view [as depicted in the cover art]. I approach the area without fear, it is now dark but I have a torch. I explore the area, it is an abandoned temple that leads into a small city. My torch sends flickers of light down corridors, rooms, and hallways. My torch dies as I make my way into an outdoor courtyard lit by the moon and the stars. I sit against a wall thinking of my past as the last song washes over me and transports me back to my home.

Who is Jack Kelley? Little information about him is present as of now, except for his recent appearance on Mythical Records and short descriptions on his Bandcamp page. Perhaps this enigmatic quality deepens the emotional and subjective nature of this album, which might be one the most beautiful things you'll hear this year.
