In my opinion, Too Close to Touch had an almost perfect debut album. This album further shows their talent, but the newness of their sound has worn off a bit. They are obviously comfortable with their sound and they have a consistent record to show for it. Nerve Endings was my AOTY for 2015 and Haven't Been Myself was a contender for 2016.

Cleans that range from mediocre to try hard, harsh vocals that come across too forced, lyrics that are
uninteresting and repetitive, and forgettable instrumentation; this album serves as the perfect example of how not
to do alternative rock tinged post-hardcore. EDIT: after a couple more listens and some research into the context
behind some of the lyrics (to try and find some reason why people are liking this so much) I'm going to give it
another .5 more for the song eiley.

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I like this just as much as their debut (which was a surprise to me too). All the things they did well on "Nerve Endings" are displayed here with even a bit more energy and passion. The music is heftier, and Keaton Pierce's vocals are just as great with some vicious screams. Like I mentioned on their debut, this won't change others' minds on the genre, but for fans this packs quite the punch.

Going for all the feels but ultimately fails as he can't scream, most songs are unmemorable, singer repetitively
whines and it gets annoying. Preferred their debut overall, this has its moments but ultimately it's a bit
of a let down
