| 4.5 superb | SteakByrnes | October 6th 16 | Outstanding release after such an outstanding debut. Shayley proves once again that he truly was the driving force (and honestly the only talented member) of OMAM. Not only has his vocal melodies grown more diverse, but his screams have improved as well to sound really strong. There are guitar riffs aplenty in this, and although there are no acoustic ballads on this, there are a few more down tempo tracks to quench that thirst. The new drummer keeps up with the original, and the bassist continues to shine as the bass is high in the mix. Phenomenal sophomore release by one of the best voices in the genre

| 4.0 excellent | c0nf1n3d | November 24th 16 | A monstrous step-up from the band's previous record, "Nexus" proves that Dayshell is a force to be reckoned with - as their sophomore album continues the ongoing progression of hard-hitting, grooving rock music. The only awkward thing about listening to this album is that the first 6(?) tracks all begin with a synthesized/crescendo intro, followed by the introductory verse. It's unfortunate, but a minor setback to an otherwise great catalog of tracks. "Car Sick" is a perfect intro to the album, followed by "A New Man" - delivering what would be weird lyrics ('I'm as cool as you') in a stylish fashion. Other strong tracks are "Low Light", "The Weapon", "Spit in the Face", and "Speaking in Tongues" - with all the other tracks being fantastic listens as well.

| 4.5 superb | Snide | July 7th 16 | The hype for them dosey bass tones, and Shayley's voice is real.
Edit: Dosey tones confirmed, album is a damn fine jam.

| 4.0 excellent | robkoi | October 14th 16 | Is it just me that's a bit annoyed by the weird high-pitched scratchy sound in the chorus of Car Sick? Otherwise the album rules.

| 4.0 excellent | Brett W | October 8th 16 | This album grooves so hard, just as their last one. This record is everything their debut was, but done better. Shay's vocals sound as great as ever, and the riffs are still awesome. The bass is audible and adds to the music, which is always a plus. The breakdowns are heavy but also also super sparse, which really makes them hit hard. The best tracks would have to be Terrified, A New Man, Master of Making, and Spit in the Face.
