ETID followed up what was arguably their heaviest and most chaotic effort with an album that is almost entirely southern/groove/party metal. Low teens essentially nails the side of their musical spectrum that was somewhat ignored on From Parts Unknown. But it doesn't really matter what direction they choose, because it will work regardless. This band is incapable of fucking up.

everyone loves. Keith is still a monster, the
riffs are still tasty n grimy as fuck, and
there are still one liners coming out the new
ass Low Teens will rip you.

I am of the party that thinks both Ex Lives and From Parts Unknown were pretty much Every Time I Die on auto-pilot. Not bad albums at all, but stagnant most certainly. It's safe to say that with Low Teens, they've caught a second wind. The songwriting, while certainly taken up a couple of notches from the past couple of releases, is still pretty classic Every Time I Die: groovy, southern-tinged metalcore with mosh-worthiness in spades. Here, though, the band members themselves sound rejuvenated. Keith Buckley, who turns in his best performance both vocally and lyrically since Hot Damn!, is a monster here, and his clean vocals have really improved. Newcomer Daniel Davison is a force on the kit, while Jordan Buckley and Andrew Williams spin some wild riffs. The production sounds really full and very powerful, allowing each instrument needed clarity but a nice punch as well. In addition to possibly being the band's best album in thirteen years, it's yet another album from this year that proves how death, even just the prospect of it, affects the music of the artist affected in unbelievable ways.

The best band making their best album (as of Feb 2021, we'll see how that new one is). The best guitar album of 2016 if not the decade. Just the fuckin best man. I can count on one hand the albums ive ever heard that are this rewarding after 50, 100, 500 listens. Yes, I've almost certainly played this album 500 times.

This is like New Junk Aesthetic fused with From Parts Unknown, and it may end up being tied with those two albums for my favorite ETiD record. They blew my expectations out of the water with this one. "Map Change" is not only one of the best songs they've ever written, but may end up being my favorite song released this year.
