In defence of Teenage Fanclub's much maligned second studio album, this is not bad. Matter of fact, nothing here is particularly a misstep. This album however suffers from trimming issues. The band go for a full-on psychedelic rage that sounds as drug-fuelled as "In a Gada-Da-Vida" extended version. For that style to be lauded as a success, they'd needed to have released it some 30 years prior.
