I was never a fan of reading Harper Lee in High School, but Zorn & friends return once again to
deliver an album that preys on nostalgia and innocence by synthesizing To Kill a Mockingbird into
audio format. The album resembles that of Zorn's Music Romance series but with a very specific and
coherent theme and motif throughout it's eight compositions. It's repetitious ideas are luckily
saved by the outstanding musicianship that permeates the record. "Mockingbird" will certainly
reveal itself to be excellent study music this Fall semester. 3.8/5
