Walls of sound traveling at mach speeds. Silent Planet cut out the pop and replace it with finesse, without losing energy. Song patterns are strange and unique. There's no "verse-chorus-verse-chorus" to be found here.

Guess I'm simple minded, but I love the lyrical reflection in Redivider. Didn't notice it the first time around.

Vocal range is super limited. Gets boring and monotonous. And the tempos are all practically the same. That being said, there is some raw power, and Nervosa is a badass song.

i am gonna disagree with yall on this being better then the debut, this was a bit of a sophmore slump and a letdown, "everything and sounds" does suffer a bit from trying to do so many different directions and as such it losses focus. that being said their are some really damn good cuts on here "Panic Room", "Orphan" and the opener and closer. Also Just as good as "The Night God Slept" from a lyrical standpoint

Alright, let me get the obvious question out of the way first: do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior Jesus Christ? Y'know, because that question is so innovative. Okay, real talk, I've come to the conclusion that Los Angeles-based metalcore unit Silent Planet don't justify the hype surrounding them if their sophomore studio album is anything to go by. Titled Everything Was Sound, the content that's presented here is not much different from what this band's contemporaries have done, but Silent Planet's second full-length is an otherwise competent record for sure. Though the production values come off as robotic and there aren't copious unforgettable moments from a songwriting point of view, Everything Was Sound is salvageable for what the entourage set out to deliver. Predominately enjoyable instrumentals alongside decent chemistry between Garrett Russell and Thomas Freckleton keep the general quality of the album from outright suffocating. Angel recommends: "Panic Room," "Nervosa," "Orphan," and "First Father".

The rating may change, i'll give it more listens. Right off the bat my first thought is there are absolutely no songs on this records. I wanted to like this record because I think their doing something what I thought was interesting, I just haven't found it yet.
