desperately appealing to the lowest common denominator the same way Michael Bay appeals to penises and Stephanie Meyer appeals to vaginas

I give it a 2.5 for songs like Feel Invincible, I Want to Live, and The Resistance, but other than that this was a pretty poor
effort. I'm a huge Skillet fan and saw them in concert after Comatose came out. Been listening to them since Collide in '04.
This one was a disappointment, even worse than Rise. I'm in the minority that liked Awake. Generic butt-rock in the vein of
Five Finger Death Punch, and some overall weird songs like Famous and Watching the Comets.

I didn't even have expectations, but I was still disappointed. Some songs are quite enjoyable in a guilty pleasure kind of way though.

lmao the average on here is ridiculous. they finally found a consistent and energetic sound, the only bad track is saviours. everything else is nonstop party moshpit worthy and when its perfected like it is on here there's nothing wrong with that. doesnt have any of those awkward ass riffs or pauses that kill the rest of the song like on all their other albums. tons of jen ledger vox too making this easily their best album. bonus you get me high is a simpler better executed better than drugs. set it off isnt bad either

Honestly this is some solid stuff here, it is not as good as rise and is more of a revisit of the "Alien Youth" era, which works here.

Definition of disaster: Unleashed. Trying to reach a much wider audience and falling more on the radio formula Skillet creates an album with some potential, but that is surpassed by its attempt to be commercial.rAt first I thought it was a good project, but after listening to it two or three times I realized that only the first three songs are acceptable, and the others, well, without comments. Here you have your breakfast with two or three bland ballads (although Stars is not so bad) and everything else is carrion for creators of AMVs, FMVs, GMVs and typical rock radio programs / summer hits.

A few enjoyable songs on here (Back from the Dead, Invincible), but what feels like a lot of filler and song repeats. Resistance is basically Rise, except worse, much worse. This was a dull album. The only reason it isn't lower is because I saw them live before the album debuted, and I enjoyed their concert.

With some interesting choices on synths and cliched lyrics, this album flops. A few tracks are worth listening for guilty pleasures though, (Feel Invincible, The Resistance, Out of Hell)

Not the worst these guys have done (Rise, Awake) but definitely not near their best. Probably one of the more preachy records in the recent catalog too with some of the lyrics. Still has some guilty pleasures on it though ("Feel Invincible", "The Resistance.")

I really enjoyed previous Skillet albums, like Comatose and Collide, but this was a major disappointment. The only good tracks are Feel Invincible, Stars, I Want to Live, and Lions.
