5.0 classic | LotusFlower | October 3rd 16 | One of the most complex, intricate, and beautiful electronic albums ever made. Perfect for the late
night jam in the dead autumn night.

4.5 superb | zakalwe | October 8th 16 | I first heard stimming nearly five minutes ago when an album of his was recd by some sput dude. The album exhibits a
fresh and meticulous approach to minimal beat electronic music that the germans have been doing since year dot and that
no other bedroom DJ is capable of coming close to. One of the best electronic albums in some years

4.5 superb | Polyethylene | October 7th 16 | I first heard Stimming nearly five years ago, when a song of his was given to me by a friend as part of a mixtape. The track
exhibited a fresh and meticulous approach to house music, suggesting Stimming possessed something special among the
hordes of bedroom DJs. However, there was something audibly missing from the track, as
though Stimming had not yet realised how to take the disparate elements of his music and add them up to something entire
and profound. While optimistic that I would one day hear Stimming deliver on his promise, a torrent of new music and other
experiences flooded into my life, and I quickly forgot all about him. Cue the release of his new album. Alpe Lusia is the
sound of Stimming fully, gloriously realising the potential I first heard from him half a decade ago. One of the best
electronic albums I've heard in some years.

4.0 excellent | Alabaster Jones | October 8th 16 | This really is one of the better electronic albums of the year, and at the very least the deep house album of the year so far. I say this because Stimming has managed to create an engrossing and endearing album that is rife with different tones and shades that gives the music a dynamic and detailed feel. Rarely do these tracks paint with broad strokes, rather opting for a much more meticulous and carefully-crafted approach. It's also of note that you're probably not going to find an album in deep house or tech house this year with the synergy of the ten tracks on Alpe Lusia. Each track, while excellent on its own (opener "Prepare" is of particular note), is made better in the context of the record as a whole. This is probably exemplified best in the opening trio, where the lush and catchy tones of "Prepare" segue into an unsettling and ultimately riveting track in "Pressing Plant" before bringing you back to daylight with "Trains Of Hope". All this said, if you're looking for some excellent deep house, you cannot go wrong with this record.

2.5 average | fog CONTRIBUTOR | December 16th 21 | Sounds a bit like a bar that insists on a jacket, and has all the counters underlit with strip lighting. Said bar regularly has designer liquor promotions for drinks that come in strangely shaped bottles, or the glass is treated in an unusual way (like frosting, a novel colour, etc). In addition, the bottle may have little interesting details like a small plastic purple gem on the front.

3.7 great | Erwann S. STAFF | June 10th 20 | t e x t u r e. Alpe Lusia (an Alpine area in Italy where tha German mate went to chill) is soft and delicate, building organic notes on top of the cold deep house/minimal techno beats. Gotta spend some more time with this but I love these harps and other chord instruments idk anything about.
