For the kids that never really grew up, there's Goosebumps-core!!!! ;) if you love spiders, bloody guts, and spooky skeletons, the new Carnifex album is right up your alley! make a blanket fort and eat some fruit gushers to these junz, you darn 90s kid!

Scott's vocals got darker. Still very much the junz-junz core that people are used to from rCarnifex, but very apparent black metal influences this time around. Even very subtle hints of rbrutal death metal are here, but then again, Carnifex has always been on the heavier side when it rcame to breakdowns compared to other bands in their genre. Lyrics were never a strong point, and rthey're definitely not here, but you're not listening for the lyrics, amiright? Definitely a rsatisfying slab of blackened deathcore.

This album is definitely their best, letting their black / death metal aspects breathe has really helped this band become something unique.

"Slow Death" is Carnifex's best work since the beginning of their career, and perhaps the one that had more marketing on their Facebook page. This question kind of moved me a little at first, since the most sincere Deathcore is the one that does not have so much fanfare. But with some Black Metal influences and the evident instrumental evolution, it made all my doubts disappear. Currently, few bands have a growing as original as Carnifex. Now we have to wait for the next jobs, which by the way, has everything to be as good as.
