For a debut album, this is surprisingly great. It does an amazing job of conjuring up emotion in its instrumentals, and balancing electronic elements with orchestral pieces. I'm giving it this score, though, because it doesn't have a lot of replay value. The listener can sit through it a few times and enjoy themselves, but in my opinion, there isn't really a track that stands out as a single piece. It all blends together, which seems to work both positively and negatively here.

Giving this my first listen. Very interesting sound. This is the closest I've heard to someone properly capturing the Devil Doll sound. Nice mix of classical, gothic, film score, and prog rock. Plus the vocals have a dramatic, theatrical quality to them that remind me of Mr. Doctor (Mrs. Doctor in this case) or a less intense Diamanda Galas. Need more spins before I can rate, but it's cool nonetheless.
