'Doom over the world' was for quite some time one of my most disliked songs ever, mainly due to the chorus on the refrain. I have come to peace with it meanwhile after many many listens. 'Cromwell' is an excellent banger and contributed a lot in me clicking with the band. Overall the album is quite upbeat and sounding happier than the debut which is not necessarily a good thing in metal but this band has got quality to pull out many diverse things. It is definitely more diverse as well. Very strong overall.

Unique and crushing, but more importantly, absolutely stubborn and bullish in flaunting the drawn-out, repetitive extreme doom that Reverend Bizarre indulges in. Worth every second if you have the attention span required for it. An odd flavor of doom that keeps me coming back for more.

Reverend Bizarre are one of the most solid doom metal bands to ever exist. It speaks volumes when their weakest effort, II: Crush the Insects, is as strong as it is. "Doom Over the World," rocks about as hard as any mid-tempo heavy metal song can, with a beer mug in hand. The rest of the songs don't come anywhere close, but "Cromwell" and "Council of Ten" keep with Rev.'s brand of megalithic doom by which they will always rule.
