MELEE'S CD, Devils & Angels is one of those rare CDs where every song on it is great. I received this CD knowing that MELEE is good band. I like their style of music. I wI placed the CD in the computer to listen & was amazed. I was expecting 1 or 2 good songs.....not every song on the CD to be fantastic. I kept listening, waiting to hear a song that I thought was so-so. Sorry...... I listened to the entire CD twice in a row & no song on it is just so-so. They are all wonderful.
Each song is a story set to music. MELEE is a band of true artists. Their medium is words & music.
If you like Fallout Boy, you will LOVE MELEE. They are similar in sound & style.
Don't get me wrong, MELEE isn't mimiking Fallout Boy at all. They are similar but very different. To me, MELEE'S sound is more mature and the lyrics are too. I think MELEE will apeal to an older crowd than Fallout Boy does. MELEE can span generations better. But that is my personal opinion. Buy, listen & decide for yourself. But I think a grandma will enjoy this CD as well as a pre-teen. It is just great to listen to as you drive around town or to work. The music grabs you by the throat & demands you sing along. It Is a great CD. you won't regret purchasing it. you will probably buy it & join the MELEE fan club because you will want to know when the next CD will be released. I know I can't wait for the next one.
