I give Mudvayne a 4. This is because this band still has a lot of work to do. I would like to give them a 5 or a 4.5 but i just dont think that they really have their song structure down all that well and don't git me wrong when I say this but there guitarist is no Kirk Hamlett. But I have to say this, and a lot of people agree with me when I say this, they have a long road ahead of them. Just because they have some road expirence doesn't mean that they are better. Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) is a new band that has been selling out shows like cazy so if Mudvayne still wants to be in the music bussiness they better step it up.

This album is a real grower. Has some gems and is very well made technical nu-metal. More than just stuff to headbang to. From the epic Choices to straight all out headbangers like Determined, this album might go onto become a nu-metal classic of sorts, showing how diverse it can sound (not a quality generally associated with the genre)

Mudvayne's 2005 studio outing to this day remains the heavy metal outfit's most successful release, commercially speaking. As for the album content proper, I like to think of Lost and Found as a transitional record: it had a little bit of the raw energy and angst found within their debut, not to mention The End of All Things to Come's smoothness. The record also hinted at the more blatantly mainstream stylings this band would expand upon with the pathetic The New Game later on; look no further here than "Happy?" and "TV Radio". That said, pieces such as "Determined," "IMN," "Choices," (painful integration of 'eeny, meeny, miny, moe's' aside) and "Just" do make Lost and Found worth checking out. In no way was the LP a defining example of a transitional work nor was it as consistent or rewarding as Mudvayne's past two albums, yet the third full-length is still commendable enough. I mean, that's more than what can be said regarding... the next thing these guys would deliver. Strong 3.

The only negative thing I can think of about this album is the blandness of the guitar in most tracks. Bass is very good in this album though, as well as drums, and vocals majority of the time. This is a great album, but could be much better (mostly in the last few tracks of the album in parts.) This would easily receive a 4.25 if possible.

Mudvayne is kind of a combination between mainstream rock like Breaking Benjamin and Nu-Metal like Slipknot a bit. Lost and Found is really great album that features greats like "Forget to Remember" which was actually in the movie Saw 2 which I found pretty awesome.

The last great Mudvayne album. Killer basslines throughout, and Chad Gray's lyrics, while patchy in some areas, don't completely suck like they do on their next two albums. Standout tracks are "Choices", "All That You Are", "Happy?", "Determined", "IMN", and "Forget To Remember".

Even from the get-go on one of its betters tracks, Lost and Found shows it has fundamental issues. The music doesn't feel fundamentally driven, even when the band work to their (expected) strengths; too many songs drag out and each of the band members don't truly display any talent they have. If anything, the closest the album gets to a strong track is, ironically, in the lengthy "Choices," only because of the soft, catchy chorus. Even younger, less experienced listeners aren't bound to cling well to Lost and Found since it simply isn't interesting enough. And even less can be said about how one with a fair amount of albums under their belt might feel towards it.

I hear fans of the band say they went soft by this album and It didn't succeed as well as their first. This is true, whereas L.D 50 was unrestrained and ferocious Lost and Found is a bit more concentrated. Does that mean its not angry and fast, not at all. It does mean Mudvayne has matured as a band. Songs like Fall Into Sleep, Forget to Remember, Happy? show off what this albums excels at, a combination of melody and nu metal brutality. Determined is a great fast track, IMN reminds me alot of their older sound and its a decent song.
Choices and Rain. Sun. Gone are also some of my favorites. Its a good album, and worth checking out if your into Nu metal

This band did good on this album. Showing a softer side with songs like happy and fall into sleep. IMN brought in that harder style that wasnt as hard as the songs on LD. Chad had some brilliant screams though. LD had alot of good songs but this album was still a good assortment of Songs and its nice to see a band able to do something diffrent without fearing loss of money or something of value like that. They did a good job on this Album. Forget to remember had Some great lyrics as did Fall into sleep and happy and ahh forget it the lyrics to it all was great. i dont really have any songs to question on here. Lyrics Good Vocals Great Guitar good Bass great Drums great. All in all an album i would buy.
