Paper Thin Hotel has some of Cohen's most gut-wrenching and beautiful lyrics.. but that song, much like the rest of the album were clipped and cheapened by Spector's maudlin, tasteless arrangements and production.. for shame.. for shame!!!!

While I respect both Leonard Cohen and producer Phil Spector, this album sounds like it's their worst work, as it was filled with an unnecessary wall of sound which almost accentuate Leonard's weak voice like his weakness more than his strength in previous albums.
