If a band can play 3 notes for 10 minutes and keep it enthralling the whole way, they are skilled songwriters. If that same band can then produce the must eclectic and eccentric music you will hear outside of Musique Concrete, they have the imagination of a platonic philosopher. If they can blend these attributes into a seamless flowing album, they are truly masters of their field.

The third full-length album from Oceansize. "Frames", upon my very first listen, completely changed the way that I listen to and appreciate music today. It's absolutely life-altering and beautifully haunting. These songs will not let me go...it's the best album I've ever heard.

Frames is the kind of album that makes me marvel at what we humans can create. Epic in scope and majestic in its execution, it's the kind of masterpiece you hear once in a lifetime.

Haunting, epic, beautiful, unpredictable, odd, layered. These are adjectives I would use to describe "Frames." In my mind it is the best Oceansize album. I often compare it to Kid A, and Oceansize deserves to be way more famous than they are.
