After listening to Songs About Jane, I definitely would go gay for Adam Levine in about 3.2 seconds

There is no question Maroon 5 cannot top any of the songs listed on this album. Songs About Jane includes four classic hits such as, Harder To Breathe, This Love, She Will Be Loved, and Sunday Morning. Each of these songs, and the rest of the songs featured on the album, contain creative lyrics, guitar riffs, and drum rhythms that perfectly set the tone and message of the album. Although the album Songs About Jane is the bands first album ever made, it is also the greatest album the band has ever made and will ever make. Not to mention the entirety of the album's songs are written about one single person (the lead vocalist, Adam, ex girlfriend, Jane). To write twelve songs about one person or event that are all different, unique, and musically inclined is both extremely complicated and talented. Songs About Jane is a classic rock album that just has to be listened to.

You know? As much hate Maroon 5 gets for being too mainstream and having too much street cred, the band's first album was fantastic. This Love, Harder To Breathe, She Will Be Loved, Shiver and Not Coming Home are great. Would give it a 5 if it wasn't for the fact that Sunday Morning is a dud and boring as hell to listen to.

Love songs have usually been Maroon 5's calling card. Their debut studio album Songs About Jane is basically a concept record elaborating on this, with most of the tracks being carefree blue-eyed soul numbers with a slight rock disposition. Unlike the rest of the band's later material - well, the individual songs I've encountered - this release is really fine because Adam Levine isn't always front and center.

Hearing this album gets me so upset. Not the music but the fact that Maroon 5 couldn't keep evolving this sound to remain relevant. This album got popular because of word of mouth, not corporate power, stuff like that doesn't happen very often. This record is special and it sounds great even after 10+ years, I'm not sure if their new stuff will.

In this early Maroon 5 album all the songs are catchy and relaxing. They are well written too. Some of my favorite songs on this album are "She Will Be Loved" and "Sunday Morning" and you can't forget my all time favorite "Harder To Breathe" which I just love. I can never get enough Maroon 5!

The band is Alright to me. The fact that ive seen people consider this Rock is bull crap because its pop. The band shows talent as ive said before but... Just really annoying sounding band. Thats just me i dont know about you.

Maroon 5's excellent and unforgettable debut still amazes me every time I hear it. Adam Levine's voice is phenomenal. All the songs are great and they tell a beautiful, yet heartbreaking story.

I first got this for my Birthday one year. I Liked a few songs on this, mainly the singles. I thought those songs were good, but everything on the rest of the album just started sounding the same and it became pretty boring. If you absolutely have to have the singles, then pick this up. I don't reccomend this for anything else than the singles.
