I was the exact same way, I had an unwarranted to dislike for this band but after reading more about them and seeing their pure dedication to metal, the underground and some of the most convicted occult beliefs when it comes down to it, I really began to love them.

It's basically a less fun, but more focused version of their debut. Probably won't change any minds, but I don't think that was the point of this album. I don't like it as much as their debut, because it's too serious now. I liked the random stupid shit that was scattered throughout their debut.

Yeah, I'm not feeling Metal Resistance as much as I did idol metal group Babymetal's self-titled debut album. Their first record was rather generic in places, but it was a generally fun, unconventional outing which had more hits than it did misses; tracks such as "Megitsune," "Akatsuki," and "Gimme Chocolate!!" were what certainly made the self-entitled release and then some. Babymetal's sophomore album comes off as disappointing by comparison, and while it's streamlined for the sake of being arguably more consistent than its predecessor, the results are less weighty. However, in no way am I saying that Metal Resistance isn't enjoyable when judged on its own merits. The instrumentation remains potent as ever, particularly a lot of the guitar playing, while Suzuka Nakamoto (aka Su-metal) will make one ponder why she hasn't already embarked on a solo career yet. At the end of the day, this is certainly another release by an ensemble who have earned themselves many haters and many followers. Now what's left is one question: where do these three chicks go from here? Only the Fox God knows. Angel recommends: "Road of Resistance," "Meta Taro," "From Dusk Till Dawn," "No Rain, No Rainbow," and "Tales of the Destinies".

A lot of the cringey moments have been removed, which actually hurts the bottom line. Gone is an album one listens to with some self-doubt and a little shame to go along. In comes a fresh mix of styles - Djent (KARATE), Fates Warning-core (Tales of the Destinies) and Extreme Power Metal (Road of Resistance). I'll give this such a high score ignoring many forgettable tracks (Metaro is the lone embarraser, a anthem track that's more repetitive than anything else they've made) with many that can be played on repeat, something i thought was impossible in 2016. Recommended tracks, 1,2,4.8,9,11. A disappointing lack of neoclassical wonder in the forms of instrumental sections akin to IDZ on the first album.

A tad less good than their debut - the more prominent power metal aesthetic ain't my vibe -, Metal Resistance is ofc very gimmicky BUT also fun - although less fun than the debut of the reduced trance apparitions - and that's what matters the most.

ehm... From music point its very generic. (reminds me asking alexandria from the production view). And the vocals are.... this is part is very about taste so i enjoy it in some way. But the problem is songwriting.

It's more cohesive, but the best songs aren't as good as the best songs from the previous album..
atleast there are no bad rap or techno sections in this.. and the band playing is in Sis.Anger

Definitely not as good as the first album but it's nice that they now have a folk metal and
progressive technical metal song in their catalog, "Meta Taro" and "Tale of the Destinies",
them being two of the album's best songs.
