Prior to Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based metalcore band From Ashes to New's official debut album, I encountered the act's self-titled EP, which was alright at best and hilariously generic at its absolute worst. Similar sentiments have been echoed here, as Day One really isn't any different in that regard and properly introduces us to a group comprised of unappealing songwriters and a cliche storm of ideas thrown up, down, and all around. This strikes me as unfortunate because there is an otherwise serviceable record buried underneath the shit. Stee-rike two!

It is just really bad Nu-metal in 2016...If this came out in like 2003 It Would've been considered really generic Nu-metal...but for 2016 this album sounds extremely dated. So initially this band: does pretty poor linkin park impression, but there is one thing they have in common with early linkin park and that is the extremely cheesy and immature lyricism, it always makes me cringe a little

Another electro metalcore/post-hardcore band. They're not terrible, but there's plenty that do it better.

One of the best bands out there! A bit of a mix between Atreyu and Hollywood Undead, and definitely have a sound that's unique to them.

Great bend of genre's and influences here. Sounds like Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead, Limp Bizkit, and Papa Roach had a baby. Their blend of rap, alternative metal, electronic, hip hop, post hardcore, and hard rock really works, could turn into another LP but we'll see where they go in the next few years.
