| 3.0 good | cjbizzlebizzle | May 21st 16 | Old Sunlight by Latitudes is an album that constantly feels like it is going to provide greatness but never truly solidifies. A mostly instrumental mix of blackgaze, sludge, prog and hearty atmospheres provides plenty of great riffs but the best moments are when the vocals come in and unfortunately that is just a bit too seldom. The use of tremolo provides a unique feel to the whole experience but they end up going a bit overboard with it and the effect is lost after several tracks. Great guitar work but the end product feels like it is constantly moving towards a destination it never reaches. Start with Ordalian and In Rushes Bound.

| 3.3 great | Trey STAFF | January 22nd 16 | Atmospheric and progressive post metal. There are a lot of instrumental sections on this album, but where there are vocals they are actual singing and not your typical raspy shout.
