This is absolutely killer; probably my favorite album of the year thus far. Fantastic
progressive post-hardcore, sort of like a heavier Hail the Sun or Coheed and Cambria.

Really liking this too. Took way more listens to appreciate than Citadels/Self Titled EP, but ready rewarding once it
all clicked into place. There are some great melodies peppered throughout the album, but the guitars are a little too
quiet and feel buried underneath the vocals at times. Maybe because I've not listened with decent over-ear
headphones yet. So far this band has a solid discog, they'll always be just as polarising as Coheed due to the
vocalist. To some people's ears it just doesn't sound good, to mine and fans of the band though the guy's voice is
pretty impressive. Very, very high pitched (I wouldn't say whiny) at times though which takes a few listens to to
"get". Faves on this: Hypnos, The Lotus, Metatron, Violet Skies, Midnight Sun, Iron Hands....man they're all good.

ME's worst release is still an entertaining, if largely disjointed listen. Coral Throne shines a massive light on some of their largest weaknesses as a band, which pertains to song structures and transitions. That said, the individual pieces are still of a particularly high quality, so this is still worth a listen, if perhaps a cautionary one.

Also the vocals are adequate. Calm the fuck down.

Can't get into these vocals. I enjoy their EPs, but I dunno man.

An excellent and really promising first
try. Almost perfectly balanced prog. rock
and heavier prog. metal parts with melodic
vocals and groovy rhythms. The opening
track 'Hypnos' and closing 'Zelos' are my
personal favorites creating a frame for
the other songs containing lots of
treasures. Well done!
