Okay, where do I even begin with this? Tonight Alive are being all sorts of ironic on their third and latest full-length album, and the joke is on them in the end. Limitless not only sounds ironically restrained, but it also lacks subtlety, character, and relishes in that ol' weak sauce like no one's business. If I didn't know any better, then I would've imagined that the Australian emo-pop band recorded this offering somewhere during the early 2000s - because mighty Mjolnir, does this give off a massively dated flavor. "How Does It Feel?" and "I Defy" are alright songs, though every other track ought to be suppressed and erased. Tonight Alive's frontwoman Jenna McDougall's serviceable vocals aren't enough to save this nonsense.

These guys (and girl) definitely aren't the pop-punk band that we knew on previous albums. They're now a slick pop band with occasional flirtations with alt rock. It works, though.

This one kinda hurts, mostly because I really liked their last album a fair bit. Not exactly the case here. Brett Tharp said it best; these guys have pretty much all but gone towards the mainstream crowds. That wouldn't have really been a bad thing, except that Bring Me The Horizon did it a hell of a lot better a few months ago. Tonight Alive might call themselves limitless, but this album's got a pretty short limit with me.

This is a mess. Any edge that Tonight Alive had before is lost. One of my most anticipated albums. A sad let down.

I had such high hopes for this band when they first debuted, every passing year since then has brought disappointment. This album sounds about 13 years too late to this evanescence-type scene it's trying to fit into. The worst part of this mess? This radio friendly, poppy hard rock might be what rockets them into the limelight
