3.5 great | kheman1317 | July 1st 18 | Great album! I really liked the addition of electronic music at times. The guitar and keyboard are exceptional! Great composition in their part. Drums are okay. What I didn't like was the vocal in some of the tracks. They sound really monotonous. Also, another problem is monotonisity in a couple of the tracks, despite their long duration, which makes them really boring.

0.0 | altertide0 | August 23rd 15 | Quite similarly to Porcupine Tree's 1992's debut, Lucassen's second Ayreon album attempts to simulate progressive music (this time metal) with electronics, and while the idea itself is just as admirable, the way he pulls it off is simply ineffective: all the songs have pretty much the same sound, the same structure and the same length, and the fact that there is only one main vocalist (two backing) doesn't help at all.
