very very uneven. love the first four tracks, but in general Thurston isn't much of a frontman, and he can't express very much without letting his guitar take the lead.

This disc is a gift to all the fans of Sonic Youth. It is an extension of the work of the band, under the solitary intelligence and perfection of his greatest mentor. Two words only: Thurston Moore...

Thurston's first solo record since 1995's "Psychic Hearts", this is a noted improvement on it's predecessor. Instead of making noisy rock jams, Thurston has decided to keep it simple with his main arsenal being an acoustic guitar and a violin. This is different from all the other work he has done though there is still noted "Sonic Youthisms" in there. Not as good as I expected it to be but still fantastic.
