3.5 great | Dunnomuch | October 18th 15 | Lots of potential here. And the album is quote , unquote smooth as fuck to say the least. If your a fan of the current r &B sound (Drake, Partynextdoor, the weeknd etc.) you'll love this. If not listen anyways i dunno

3.1 good | Erwann S. STAFF | April 23rd 24 | Dude invented a genre. Kudos!!! Unfortunately, the trap beats aren't that impacting despite their hard-hitting nature, and Tiller's singing likewise pales in comparison to his papa Tesfaye.

3.0 good | Jordan | January 21st 18 | When I first heard this record I couldn't help but think "Man this guy has loads of potential and is probably going to blow up". However, on his first record there is a lot of filler, but some sweet production with stellar vocal performances from Tiller. Furthermore, Tiller shows that he can also be a double threat with some rap performances that appear as well (Rambo, Sorry Not Sorry & 502 Come Up). Overall, if Tiller can tap into songs like "Don't", "Rambo" & "Exchange" and stray away from the slower uninspired tracks that he put on here, he'll be fine in this genre of music.

3.0 good | EricSchuiteboer | July 31st 17 | Bryson Tiller has always intrigued me as a musician, but I never had the opportunity to properly dig into some of his music. Recently I listened through his TRAPSOUL record. rTRAPSOUL is exactly what the title says. A beautiful mix of trap vibes and soulful badassery. Tiller's sexy vocals are very enchanting. Great atmosphere for a late night hangout or some passionate sexy time ( ?° ?? ?°). Although I don't think that you will get much else out of this album. Lyrics are at times underwhelming and the content of each song blurs together. It's hard to remember each hook without multiple listens through. "Don't" and "Exchange" being outliers. Those two tracks are phenomenal and really show the potential of Bryson Tiller. I wasn't incredibly blown away by this album but I was impressed at times. Although I was entertained with some of the songs near the end of the album. I look forward to what Bryson will bring to the table in future projects.

3.5 great | beachdude | December 11th 15 | Whether or not Bryson Tiller deserves to be the most popular artist in the current crop of modern R&B artists or simply had the right mix of stylistic elements at the right time to break through, this is undeniably a solid if unsurprising debut. Tiller's core sound is tight and focused, even if the individual tracks often fail to stand out.

3.0 good | dihstyle69 | December 6th 15 | this guy definitely has potential to become really big but this project is simply too formulaic for me to love it. there's no moment here that wowed me and he's borrowing too many elements from drake. however, it's also a tape hard to dislike. 3+
