if there was a powerviolence textbook this would be chapter 1: an eight step guide on how to write your first
powerviolence cassette - step 1: yell FUCK abruptly at the end of a song, step 2: make unhealthy bodily sounds
at the end of another to show that you are sick as fuck and you dont even care step 3: make sure 10/11 songs
are less than 1:50 long, step 4: make sure at least 2 songs are less than 0:20 seconds long step 5: make sure
the last song is the only one thats more than 2:00 long and make it slow and crusty step 6: obligatory samples
and some brief ambience to assure the listener that you are deeper and more musically proficient than you
appear step 7: record it as shittily as possible even if you do have the means to produce better music to make it
very clear that you have social angst and you hate the music industry step 8: bandcamp

I have no qualms in saying that part of me likes this only because it's a project of YakNips, who overall, is a very cool dude. The other part of of me legitimately enjoys the rawness and the primitive bashing of the album's slower moments. However, this release as a whole is ruined by the production, which makes the guitar during the faster parts completely undecipherable.
