while this is a clear step up in the right direction for logic, it's not a huge one! he's still borrowing heavily from other artists instead of doing something for himself. he really wants to give us a masterpiece and i feel like he has the potential to do that but not if he keeps being someone else instead of himself. 2.5+

Definitely an improvement over Under Pressure... a solid if flawed concept album, where the gorgeous, lush production is sometimes brought down by cliched lyricism and lack of originality. An ultimately enjoyable if forgettable listen.

Over time, this album has really changed in my eyes (or maybe to my ears...). The production style complements Logic well, and there's a certain crisp and genuine quality in his delivery that makes this album feel somehow more real than his non-concept albums. Logic is trying much harder here to be a great artist, rather than a great rapper, and I dig it. I still don't love it, but it's better than many give it credit for.

the ambition kinda drowns his work here, He needs to focus on the music first and let the concept come in second. No matter how cool a concept album's concept is, if the excecution is lacking the whole thing collapses in on itself. City of Stars is Goat tho

Logics best album. The only reason the album isnt perfect is due to the theme being good but not perfected. The album sounds great, is diverse, and shows another side to logics abilities.
