ETF's debut was their worst album. Everything with Craig has been pretty damn lit.

Hear that? Craig Mabbitt is telling us to hate him, ergo the listeners must also detest Escape the Fate's latest record. Decent instrumentals aside, ETF's fifth studio album is plagued by massively underdeveloped songwriting and frontman Mabbitt's unappealing, contrived vocal performance. On top of that, Howard Benson just doesn't see eye to eye with the band, resulting in a rather lifeless production job here. It is uber-apparent that these boys are nothing more than a faded memory now.

Loving the album! Great LA Rock feel to some songs, I
really thought ETF would go in this direction after "This
War Is Ours".
And to the people saying "It's not heavy enough" just
wait for the new Dead Rabbitts record, Craig has
stated
that he wants to take that next record into darker/
heavier territories.

Escape tried to go down a different direction with their music in Hate Me. The payoff comes off as light, safe & very generic. It was not as bad as I remembered it.

It makes it very easy for me to hate you when you write an album with contrived, soulless, and mundane songs. Not only offensively boring this album feels like a band bitter about knowing it's on its way out.
