They've somehow managed to top their fantastic last album. This is amazing. Catchy, heavy, melodic, proggy and with great vocals. It very well may be the best album Jim Grey's sung on.

This album keeps on growing on me. Each listen another song becomes a new favourite. Soon I will absolutely love each and every song. Check Marigold, Rust and Undergrowth. But seriously, such a strong band.

Cool prog with the occasional djent chug chug and alt linings. What makes this a great prog record is the balance between hooks, solos, chugs, cinematic soundscapes, and wanks (the latter being the least prominent).

Surprised at how brilliant this album is. Was worried after the previous release that they'd settle on the brilliant of The Tide, The Theif and The Rivers End, thankfully they've pushed on and created an equally impressive album. All killer, no filler.

Solid story and good flow, but musically boring compared to their precious outings imo. Much of their Metal edge has disappeared completely in favour of a more focused story-telling, atmospheric vibe.

This is a tough rating for me. There are quite a few things I really enjoy about this album: lyrical content, song structure in general, variety of sound, solid riffs. It's just that Bloom doesn't quite excite me to the same degree that, say, Haken do on Vector. The album is well-produced and well-executed, but it doesn't stir a huge emotional response to push the record up to the next level.
