I think another classic case of the enjoyment of the movie being conflated with enjoyment of the soundtrack. Nothing in the soundtrack is remarkably ground-breaking as most of that revolutionary triumphant sound is captured already in A New Hope

This shares the same problem as most scores on this list, it?s amazing, the best in the saga, even, but it?s still not something that I feel deserves to be listened to on its own. It?s like asking you to listen to the film without the music, I feel like the tracks can?t go without the film. Even though these are to me, the greatest tracks of the entire saga of films: Yoda and The Force, Han Solo and the Princess, and The Duel are my favorite Star wars tracks ever, but its not something that I find interesting to listen to as an album, and few are the soundtracks that manage to do that, this one included.
