Hurt 3.5 but sounds hollow, great drops; Bodom 3 but also hollow; Morrigan 3.5 but sounds cheap; Horns 3 same hollowness; Prayer one of not one but TWO ballads on the album whoa, more than a little poignant 3.5 but still has that same awkwardness of the others; Title easily best track 5 despite the cheese keys; Tongue 2 fucking garbage filler song; Suicide Bomber 2.5 another awkward dud janne's keys the only thing saving it from oblivion; All for Nothing 3 tighter but somehow more awkward breakup ballad, even the unusually long piano solo not rly adding up to the epicness it ought, just kind of eh; Widdershins actual epic track easy ass 5. covers arent worth much

This did not hold so well over time unfortunately. Pretty solid album, but it pales in comparison to Hatebreeder or Follow the Reaper. What albums doesn't, though?

Wanted to like this more than I did. Still a great effort and a fair amount of cool riffs/lead but nowhere near the quality of Halo. More focus on a deeper, crunchier sound doesn't lend itself to COB, who are way better off with the trebly riff fest. Bass is nice and strong here though, and vocals + percussion are done pretty well too.

This album is so frustrating. They were so damn close to recapturing that early year energy with Halo of Blood, and then they randomly decided to detour through their more mediocre, slower tempo tracks with this one. Welp. Back to Kalmah.
