As far as Brutal Truth is concerned, there is no pretty way of describing their grinding sound without drawing a line in the sand; Brutal Truth make ugly music for intelligent people. Sounds of the Animal Kingdom is a tightly nit ball of insanity, complete with speedy angular rhythms, jarring/ grooving guitar lines, intellectual social commentary, and flat out slow-as-fuck passages for good measure. This is a monster of a grind album that will smash your face in, sodomize your black and blue body, and leave you in the gutter to die. Grind your manners and respect!

The other day there were some kids playing outside of my apartment, and they started to piss me off because they were being so fucking noisy. So I placed a boombox next to the window and I blasted this at high volume. After a few seconds the brats got scared and went away.

I bought the re-release of "Sounds of the Animal Kingdom" and "Kill Trend Suicide", and I must say I wasn't dissappointed in the least. They're both remarkably amazing albums. The lyrics are typical of the grindcore genre. The vocals go from screaming to low gutteral vocals. The guitars are a blitz of riffs, and the drums sound like a hail of gunfire. Beautiful.

Never listened to this but I gotta point out that Photoshop must have been simpler at the time.

A pretty average grind album as is, but my god does this thing drag on seemingly nonstop, it gets so annoying and when you look to see how far you are into the thing you realize you're only half way through. im currently on the 20th track and i can see the horizon at 22 songs in the album, until i realize that the last track is 30 fucking minutes of PREYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY *CHUG CHUG* PREYYYYYYYYYYYYYY and that's it. absolute waste of time

I'm sure if you described this as "grindcore" most kids nowadays would laugh at you - but here it is, classic 90's death/grind that somehow also merges with southern rock-tinged vocals, crust punk, some ambient/experimental; all contained in a huge album that's as beastly as the cover. Extremely heavy, fast, slow, short songs, long songs, some curveballs.
