Such a creative grindcore album... it is pretty difficult to inovate (and succeed) in this genre, but Brutal Truth do it right.

"Need To Control" is where Brutal Truth moved past the derivative grindcore of their first record (not that Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses isn't a great record) to something that was wholly original and unique to the genre. Five Fuckin' Stars...

Need to Control is a landmark of the genre. The record marks the great amount of possibilites that a grindcore band has in their hands. The pattern is simple and the premise is the same used by other bands, but the songs are so well written and so creative that make the band win a huge status in the genre. Brutal Truth is a band who knows the real definition of deathgrind. Their best.

Need to Control is in every respect the paragon of how unprecedented grindcore can occasionally be. When it's fast-paced, Brutal Truth release an amount of fury with a noticeable degree of gray matter. Even when the album's slower moments are in effect, the band is still quite malicious. If you haven't already, start finding yourself inside this grandiose creature; your ears are in desperate need of violation.
