| 4.5 superb | EasterInTheBatcave | June 15th 16 | Where Paysage's other records sometimes suffer from excessive length, Kristall und Isa is only 38 minutes long. The individual tracks are shorter, too-- at most, seven minutes. This is the punchiest, most aggressive, most immediate Paysage record, and a personal favourite of mine. "Isa" and "Ather" are particularly phenomenal, and the ambient work is on point, too, perfectly balanced with the heavier material.

| 4.0 excellent | Bedex | June 12th 19 | Great Pd'H record with a very bleak start and a bleak ending. In between the record alternates
between calm ambient phases and bm sections. Nothing that stood out as amazing, but all good too.
Even though it's one of the shortest Pd'H records, it still feels too long. Tracks 2,3,4, and
maybe the closer are jams. The opener is ok too, but the record overall feels like it drags on a
lot and does not have a lot of crazy high points. It's just nice, nothing that stood out as
amazing, but all good too. 3.8

| 3.0 good | zaruyache | August 26th 17 | Weirdly enough I think the shorter runtimes really harm the atmospheres and pacing of these tracks. Paysage is best when chugging through slow-burning epics, whereas here a lot of these shorter pieces run the same tempos and feel really samey. The ending piece, "Kalte" feels the most Paysage-y, with its 12-minute runtime and more traditional format.
