Their best since Ashes of the Wake. Nothing terribly memorable, but it's a solid hour of meaty riffs and really what more can you expect from Lamb of God at this point?

I loved As The Palaces Burn but haven't been able to listen to anything else by this band without wanting to kill myself. The Randy doco was good though. rEdit: This is alright

Lamb of God are licking the wounds that Blythe's non-trivial ordeal carved on them, with a new album after 3 years. While VII... puts its money where the mouth of the Richmond VA bunch is for quite some time now, it also showcases a stylistical stagnation, especially in view of fresher, but terribly obscure homologous 2015 releases.

This is a Lamb of God album. Whether that's a good or bad thing is a matter of opinion, but the band largely stays with what we'd expect.

Low 5 out of 10: Some of the vocal bits on this are pretty cool, and the instrumental is what you'd expect from LoG. It's certainly better than "Resolution", but at the same time can get very boring really quickly. I don't get why people made such a fuss about the clean vocals, they really aren't that different from Randy Blythe's usual style...

first couple of tracks are promising as theyre essentially log gone melodeath, but then they fall into a dull sideways slide into mediocrity. bonus wine and piss has nothing over piss n vinegar
