Great debut from a young band. Good dual guitar works, solos, riffs. Vocals are "average-run-of-the-mill metalcore band" vocals but it doesn't really matters cause they're fitting the band sounds. The drums are not the most innovative thing in the world, but they do the job. What brings the rating down is the fact that I could say; Ah this song sections is similar to All That Remains debut, Ah this song sections sounds like a ALID one, this one like a Sylosis one, etc. rThey should try to innovate a little bit to put them away from the hordes of similar bands.

Incredibly promising young metalcore band hailing from Wales, they offer up a mind-blowing debut. Infectious dual guitar solos, beguiling riffs and a strong sense of musicianship creates a heady brew that makes for a pleasurable listening experience.

I see the other user who wrote about Anterior describe them as a mix of All That Remains and In Flames. That isn't really an accurate comparison. Even when In Flames were at the meanest back in the Lunar Strain days they never achieved the amount of intensity that Anterior achieve in This Age of Silence. And All That Remains. Anterior's songwriting skills and song structures are nothing like All That Remains and are in my opinion, far superior. If anything, this band is most closely linked to a band like Himsa, sound wise at least. If you want epic music with blistering solos and leads, then check out Anterior.

Very underrated band. In the mold of In Flames mixed with All That Remains. They're a very young band, and since this is their first album this is just the beginning. rEDIT: Now that I've heard more than one song from them, I realize that that was indeed a very shitty comparison.
