Tiny Hawks is one of the most exciting bands, for me, of the Math Rock genre. On their Ep, "Fingers Become Bridges", the duo teams up technical guitar work and drums interplay with strong, emotional vocals. Most of the tempos are as that of a Hardcore band, but with more introspection and technicality. Some of the tempos, however, such as the beautiful climax in "The Things You Belong To And Those That Belong To You", are steady, but at a slower rate. The vocals are shouted, strong, and fast; lyrically they have a strong poetic, and beautiful edge, similar to that of Rites of Spring

The only somewhat negative thing about the record is probably, the length, which at 13 minutes definitely leaves you wanting more. The album is still a good addition for any fan of emotional math rock, emo, or even indie.
