Apse are an extremely dark and grungy post-rock group, the roots of the music planted firmly in horror movie soundtracks and repetitive Indian ragas. The drums pound, the guitars (at least I think they're guitars) make weird noises and stuff, and the monotone vocals ramble on and on. And for some reason, it's extremely enjoyable. Something different in the monotonous world of post-rock, Spirit is a breath of fresh air.
