The last great album by Dio's own band showcases once again what a great voice he possesses, but in the end it falls short of Holy Diver.

Honestly, I found this slightly meh. Keyboards were way too central for my personal liking, and while Dio?s vocals are ofc great, the instrumental work seemed incredibly standard. Just goes to show how important Viv was for the band.

Everyone talk about Holy Diver and the Last in line, but this album is better than Last in line....The title track, all the fools saild away, sunset superman and I could have been a dreamer are superb!

Magnificent as always with Ronnie Dio's voice on board making anything sound bad would be a tall order. Not perhaps as iconic as their first and finest album Holy Diver this is never the less an excellent if not essential album for any Dio fan.

One of heavy metal's all time great voices, great performers, and great men in general. Dio left a huge mark on the metal world with his music, and while it's hard to just pick any 1 album, I picked this one from his solo career. It's got some of my favorite songs and I can put it on at anytime no matter how I feel and really enjoy his voice and the music. R.I.P. Ronnie. You are missed.
