4.0 excellent | Erwann S. STAFF | January 11th 22 | A suite of improvised (!!!) jams constituting of nujazzfusion bullshit built around hip-hop beats - don't let that fool ya, it's a pure jazz record. The performances are the real deal here - there ain't no composition per se -, the musicians properly discussing with one another - think Herbie Hancock-Jacob Collier level of discussion. It's always groovy, yet firmly mellow too, ultimately landing into that weird but cool spot between background music and bop-yo-head jams. 3.8

4.0 excellent | The Aspie Fantastie | August 29th 21 | An album I wouldn't have been able to tell was improvised, had it not been stated several times throughout. I must say, having learned that this is not one large continuous performance takes away my fascination a little, nevertheless Makaya's team did a stellar job at creating one of the smoothest improvisational albums out there, thanks in part to whoever mixed the songs in this order. An hour of material flies by with a breeze.

4.0 excellent | HarrySmalldini97 | March 29th 15 | I needed to add this to the site, fantastic modern jazz/beat album. Constructed from around 50 different live improvisations, each track feels alive and free yet structured. Which is what I look for in all post production heavy music. Definitely for fans of modern jazz, minimalist jazz (Dawn of MIDI) or hip hop producers such as Madlib. My only critique is that I wished that some tracks where given more time to breathe and develop (except 'first things first', that track is awesome), however this criticism applies to most beat music for me,
