Personally, I say it's fairly good. The downside is that I have believed to have heard similar sounds from the Melvins (Lysol album) alongside that with Boris. It is no Neurosis album, but I could understand where people may be inclined to grade this as a 4/5.

After a few jams it sounds a bit cheesy. Easily one of the best albums in this genre though.

Pure emotional and awe-inspiring atmosphere created by a fusion of Antonio's high pitch screech vocal that sounds like a literal scream, as well as the folk instruments, and impressive drumming. Although the drum mixing could sound better, it isn't overpowering over the crescendo of violin that peaks at the records best moments. The lengthy tracks make for good buildups to fantastic melodic segments which are beautiful as they are tear-jerking. The record succeeds in its musical objective, as well as causing me to spend hours researching Sardinia.

Very interesting bm that I'd say any bm-appreciator ought to check out. The sparse use of
'traditional' folk instruments is very intelligently done here and gives ancient mysterious vibes
to the music, as if it were a lost beacon from an extinct civilization. The shrieking vocals are
a tough pill to swallow at times - although I did not really dislike them -, and the album does
loose a bit of its freshness and songwriting quality over time, the album closer being the worst
track. Absolutely worth a listen nonetheless. 4.0

Atmospheric folk black metal of epicness. Those hyper-shriek vocals really hurt my ears and those drums sound a bit clunky, but everything else is fine here. Production's fine, riffs fine, structures wow, many folk flutes, woah.
