Classic ambient bm stuff. It took me a while to get into it but under the proper circumstances one may appreciate its value.

I want to like this more than I do, but the album stumbles around trying to establish a good song structure and failing most of the time.

This is pretty much the epitome of atmosphere done completely wrong. The intro track is probably the best song on this cd, and it isn't even that captivating to be honest with you. The problem here is the fact that Wrest can't decide whether to use this project to make black metal or ambient. I think the two don't mix when you have a few minutes of one and a few minutes of the other, it's a very non-smooth song flow that makes songs sound very thrown together and inorganic (which is something that ambient cannot survive -> sounding inorganic). I think if you wish to hear this group, the L.O.C. demo is far more interesting and decisive as to what it wants to sound like.
