| 2.0 poor | MadBaron | April 24th 11 | While Emilie Autumn's music is pretty interesting her lyrics are truly cringe-worthy, sounding like something an angst ridden, teenage feminist might post in their Livejournal. They're either unbearably immature or too clunky to work with the music. I used to be rather fond of Emilie Autumn at one point, this album in particular, but now I find that not even a sense of nostalgia and finding my inner hormonal 13 year old can save me from how truly grating this woman's songwriting is.

| 5.0 classic | Supertails | August 13th 12 | On the surface it may seem like another gothic record, but inside it's (to me) a serious masterpiece. Opheliac - The Deluxe Edition is the best version of this album because of the remastering of the tracks, plus the addition of several amazing ones.rWhether she sounds subdued and angry on 'I Want My Innocence Back', hopeless and defeated on 'The Art of Suicide', or both at times on 'Shalott', Emilie Autumn's vocals and production talent are nothing to scoff at. She writes the lyrics, sings the songs, plays the instruments and produces the records herself. That, in turn, makes for a very personal experience.rWhile the premise is under the guise of a Victorian-era girl, all of the anger and sadness is very real. When she sings about depression, suicide, rape, and anger it's because she's got very personal experience with each one.rIt's hard to place what exactly makes me love this album so much, but it's somewhere between the honesty, Emilie's voice, and her production work. Because of that, I have to give this a 5.

| 5.0 classic | PunkPlushie | February 7th 09 | This is one of the albums I can listen to over and over. Emilie's voice is just wonderful and you don't often hear the violin used in such a way. She has her very sad meaningful songs (The Art Of Suicide) and her fun upbeat ones (Marry Me). Despite being a Gothic musician I found that people who usually stay away from that type of music still love Emilie. Overall, 5.0/5.0
