Oh man, you know you're in for a bore when a seemingly conventional punk band decides to write songs over five minutes. Fucked Up somehow take a pretty standard sound and add a few minutes of bullshit, making Hidden World seem larger than it is. However, despite the repetitive workouts, Fucked Up seem to gel best when they aren't full of pretense, especially on catchy and hard rocking tunes like "David Comes to Life" and "Carried Out to the Sea".
