When the minute-long introduction of hellish sound effects is better and more enjoyable than any of the actual songs on your album, maybe it's time to rethink your approach.

It's not that bad, but very unbalanced record. It has outstandingly good songs ("Smoke", "Evil Law", "Mephistopheles"); but it offers some extremly dumb ones too ("The Death Of Rock N Roll", "Long Haired Punks", "Stigmata Satanas"). The rest of the songs feel numb too. Very thrash/speed fueled stuff with a quite death metal-ish production. Shame only a few songs were truly good.

I won't lie and say there isn't potential within the album, but chances are you'll have your fill and be bored by the fifth track.

Sometimes I leave my listening choices up to random chance; this is how I arrived here. I am not a Venom aficionado but this is almost sad. Energetic on the surface but I think someone could tell this album was produced by tired, burnt out musicians if they had never listened to their previous efforts. Cringeworthy, early 80s throwback lyrics that sound so out of place nowadays. Starts off with two good tracks and ends with 45 minutes of strange, heard-it-before, tiring music.

This album is produced like shit, doesn't sound much better than Black Metal or Welcome to Hell. As for the music itself, I was pleasantly surprised at the beginning. Unfortunately, around the halfway mark this album takes a significant hit in quality, turning to pure shit. The opening half of this album, however, is worth a listen just to see what Venom are up to nowadays.
