A Umbra Omega features the typical gargantuan width of Dodheimsgard's soundscape, with maybe a tad clunkier transitions ? The switch from some pristine proggy passages to rawr bm sometimes border on the structureless. Technically amazing though.

one of the better black metal albums to come out of 2015 thus far. weird, mean black metal. a little more technical than most black metal, but that doesn't mean that it is going to be anything less than what you'd expect from the genre. there are some industrial moments on this thing, and it really adds to that weird, experimental type of black metal these guys are doing.
