My definitions of what a classic album, or a 5.0 out of 5.0 means. Mostly, I don't think Municipal Waste's Art of Party is not, as of yet, highly infuential to the point of deserving a 5.0. Still an amazing album

Municipal Waste aren?t here to reinvent the wheel, or pioneer anything. They just want to thrash hard, and thrash hard they do! 35 minutes of balls to the wall Crossover thrash, and it?s good.

As i mentioned earlier, Municipal Waste is a very generic band that presents nothing but fun. "The Art of Partying" is the great example of this, but there is a bit of diversity here at least. Many good songs come together to form an above-average record, but that's too long for the little repertoire that the band has always had.

Municipal Waste has always been one of the more well known bands in the crossover thrash genre, and for good reason. They have a tongue-in-cheek approach to their music that makes it known they're just here to thrash and have fun. And that is exactly what they do. This, their third full-length, is ridiculously fun, even if it is a bit predictable. There's nary a break from the furious pace on the record, but it's just short enough to not completely bury you in its aggression. The drumming is particularly good, and while the guitars might be pretty standard for the genre, they're still very solid. The bass is audible occasionally, and when it is, it's very fun to listen to. There's not a song on the record that isn't at least decent, and with a couple of standout moments like "A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Destroyer)" and "Sadistic Magician", you've got yourself a very fun and satisfying crossover thrash release.

The great sense of humor and fantastic drumming and solid guitar on this album make it one of my go-to blow off steam albums now.

Municipal Waste has predictably provided us with another solid Thrash release. If you're looking for a band evolving and expanding on their previous releases, look elsewhere, but if you're a die hard fan of Municipal Waste's previous efforts you'll probably find it caters to your needs quite nicely.
