2.5 average | Do I have somfing n my face? | September 14th 22 | axe of judgement is the only decent/good track. and then just filler, all filler, nothing but le filler until maiden of the north raising it to 2.5 just for that. bonus warmetal not bad

3.0 good | Vanquisher | February 21st 19 | Much faster and heavier than Unsung Heroes, although most of the songs are bland and forgettable (except for the 11 minute closer)

2.5 average | Panzerchrist | January 9th 16 | I think we can safely say that this band isn't shit without Jari. Victory Songs kept the band trudging along, but with these last two albums, Ensiferum have lost that air of distinction that kept them at the forefront of folk metal. One Man Army is perhaps better than Unsung Heroes, but that says very little between two extremely mediocre releases.

3.0 good | Xenorazr | January 9th 16 | By and large a sufficient (yet unremarkable) power metal affair. One Man Army has most of the essentials without any excellence to propel it beyond being merely good.

3.5 great | Nagash | February 21st 15 | Immensely superior to its disappointing predecessor, One Man Army is a gigantic leap towards greater horizons for Ensiferum. While it still doesn't measure up to the legend Toivonen and Maenpaa built in the band's beginnings, One Man Army truly is a resurrection for the veterans of viking folk metal. Unsung Heroes might just as well have never existed.

3.5 great | LommyGreenhands | February 19th 15 | A huge return to form for the band. Even though Unsung Heroes was not terrible, it was a definite misstep and regression, following up the bands's best album under Petri Lindroos, From Afar. One Man Army feels like the spiritual successor to Ensiferum's fantastic 2009 release. Ensiferum has made up for the mediocrity that was Unsung Heroes, and has once again proved that they deserve their title amongst the best folk metal artists working today.

4.0 excellent | FictionalFlames | February 19th 15 | A definite improvement from a Unsung Heroes.

2.0 poor | RotheLorde | February 16th 15 | Not a single eventful thing happens. Ensiferum has downgraded their sound to something generic and boring. You'll miss Unsung Heroes after listening to One Man Army.
